So i asked my boss if i could take a few days off and he said it was fine ( expect to hear a little more of me for the next few days), so i decided to stay up all night to watch "MLP:FiM" so i could give an honest and educated opinion on and see why most of my friends like it. Here is what i have to say:Okay, after getting the chance to veiw all episodes of this show i can finally make an educated opinion of it.
Since the creator of this show was associated with the shows "Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends" and "PowerPuff Girls", i expected the show to be just as good if not better then them. I will say that the show was pretty good, it was at least entertaining and pretty funny, it was 1000 times better then the last generations of MLP which was basically a disgrace to girls. The animation was pretty damn good but i expected as much from Lauren Faust, the voice acting of the characters were great as well, they all had voices that fit their personality well. Their designs were great, a gigantic step up from the other versions of them from the last generations, the ones before all looked like recolors of each other with only minor differences. Though, despite the show being pretty good it is still a show for children and it is really overrated by many fans.
It was good like i said but isn't as good as many people say it is, it has it's flaws. Like the fact that some of the episodes weren't interesting enough for me and were predictable, i've seen cartoons hold the same ideas before,Like the "Ticket Master" episode. Where one of the main characters has only two items or something and the other main characters fight and argue over who's going to get the second one, and then the character who has these two items trashes them or gets more of them in the end. I've seen things like that before in almost every cartoon. Though despite some predictable endings/events and generic conflicts it was still something fun to watch.
Final Thoughts: It's a pretty fun cartoon and can be enjoyable to watch but is WAY too overrated by the fans.
That's my opinion, I hope you can respect it.
I decided to make a 30 minute picture on Spike, if you can't tell what the picture is about then...wow.
Spike is by far my favorite character of the series and i'm a little disappointed that he is kinda ignored by the other main characters and even the episodes that he is in he is very minor ( the only real exception would be in "Owls end that end well" which is actually about him feeling/being ignored, and it seems that's the only episode the characters actually pay more attention to him in)
He's not even around Twilight Sparkle that much, I would actually like to seem him incorporated more into the series or maybe have a few episodes about character development. But that's just me.
I might make fan art about Spike every now and then, i do hope that won't bug you guys. :I
